Genesis 25

"'Look,' said Esau, 'I'm about to die, so what good is a birthright to me?'"
Genesis 25:32

Esau gave Jacob his birthright for some stew...  Now, I've had some really good stews in my time (especially some that my wife makes), but none that I'd give my birthright for.  I'm not even sure if I have a birthright, as the fourth child of my father, but I still wouldn't give it up for food!  Much less, the inheritance of Isaac, son of Abraham!

I wonder, though, what made Esau say that he was about to die.  Other than this one verse, there's no mention of sickness, war, famine, or any other reason he should be about to die.  (Edit: a sneak peak at tomorrow's chapter reveals a famine coming up, but I don't see Esau's name mentioned)
