Genesis 40

"Yet the chief cupbearer did not remember Joseph; he forgot him."
Genesis 40:23

So often, we forget those who help us achieve our proper place in the world.  Once we move up a notch in our communities, we tend to forget those who are most important to us.  Why is it that our society has so much trouble giving credit where it's due?  We blame others for our mistakes and we claim the greatness of others as our own...

Who is there in my own life that hasn't yet received proper praise for the role they played in my life?  Have I thanked my parents enough?  Do I speak highly of them in the presence of others?  What about the rest of my family, friends, acquaintances, and total strangers who have influenced my life?

What about you?  Is there someone in your own life who deserves recognition and hasn't gotten it yet?
