Exodus 14

"But Moses said to the people, 'Don't be afraid.  Stand firm and see the Lord's salvation He will provide for you today; for the Egyptians you see today, you will never see again.  The Lord will fight for you; you must be quiet.'"
Exodus 14:13-14

God frees the Israelites by splitting the waters of the Red Sea, and then they rush back to drown out the entire Egyptian army.  This is one of the most incredible examples of God literally fighting for His people.  Israel, a nation without any military at all, a nation who has been enslaved for generations, doesn't even have to lift one finger against the Egyptians.  God wipes out their oppressors with a mighty hand.

What does He ask in return?  "You must be quiet."  Or, put differently in another verse, "Stop your fighting, and know that I am God, exalted among the nations, exalted on the earth." (Psalm 46:10)

Question: How often do you stop fighting the daily battles of life, and let your mind dwell on the exalted God?
