Exodus 32

"Turn from Your great anger and change Your mind about the disaster planned for Your people."
Exodus 32:12b

When the people of Israel decide to build an idol and worship it, Moses is compassionate towards his people.  He intercedes for them, asking God to forgive them and give them another chance.

We all require intercession.  We have all sinned, and provoked the anger of the Lord.  This is where the need for Jesus arises.  Without Him, there would be no permanence in intercession.  Jesus died, rose again, and delivered His Spirit to us so that we'd have the intercessor with us at all times, begging God's mercy for us.

Question of the Day:
Why do you need intercession today?  What have you done that was wrong?  What have you not done that you should have?  What have you done that wasn't your best?

Prayer of the Day:
Holy Spirit, intercede for me.  Cleanse me of all my sinful stains.  Grow within me and purge me of evil desires so that I may become blameless in the eyes of the Father.  Amen.
