"But Pharaoh hardened his heart this time also and did not let the people go."
Exodus 8:32
We're seeing a common trend here, in Pharaoh's words and actions. When he's being plagued by frogs, gnats, or flies, he's ready to concede that God's hand is at work, and he's willing to set His people free. However, when each plague stops, Pharaoh hardens his heart and refuses to fulfill his end of the bargain. He asks Moses to call out to God on his behalf when things are rough, but once things settle down again he goes back to his regular routine of Godlessness.
Question: Have you ever made promises like, "If only God removes _____ from my life, I'll serve Him better," or other agreements with the Lord, like Pharaoh did? Did you follow through with your end of those bargains, and follow God the way you told Him you would?
