Slightly New Look

I've decided that having separate posts for each day's analysis and prayer is somewhat cumbersome, both to me as the author and to you as the reader.  In an attempt to clean things up, make things easier to read, and make this blog look a little nicer, I've made a few changes.  I'll be keeping an eye on things to see how these changes work.  If you think any of the changes are counterproductive, please don't hesitate to leave a comment and let me know.

Here's what's changed:

  • You may have noticed that I removed ads a long time ago.  I don't think anyone ever actually clicked any of them, and they just cluttered up the blog with unnecessary nonsense.
  • I also removed the "Number of Visitors" tab because that was giving somewhat misleading information.
  • Each day's post will include a question of the day and a prayer of the day.  Both will be easy to locate due to a Bold Title.  These will be at the bottom of each post.
  • I've added a search bar on the top-right so that you can easily find archived posts.
  • The right column of the blog now includes social-media buttons.  Now, you can share the blog itself as well as individual posts.
  • Because the search bar and "Topics" menu make it easy to find archived posts, I've removed the drop-down "Blog Archive" menu.
  • I've limited the number of posts that appear on the homepage.  It now shows all posts made in the last 2 days instead of showing the last seven posts.  This should help load time on slower machines, and also cleans up the look of the page a little bit.
  • I've removed "Daily Prayers" from the topics list, and I've gone back to re-label all of the old "Prayer of the Day" posts with the appropriate bible chapter.
I'll keep everyone posted if there are any other changes.  Thanks to all my readers out there!
