Leviticus 21: Priestly Guidelines

"They are to be holy to their God and not profane the name of their God, because they present the fire offerings to the Lord, the food of their God.  They must be holy."
Leviticus 21:6

When Jesus made our bodies into temples for the Holy Spirit, we all became priests in our own temples.  We offer the eternal sacrifice of Jesus on the altar of our hearts.  As such, it's important for all of us to look at the requirements which the Lord imposed upon His priests.  They are to be holy, set apart from all others, avoid uncleanliness, and keep a pure marriage bed.

Question of the Day:
After reading Leviticus 21, are there any priestly guidelines which you do not meet?  What must you change in order to meet them?

Prayer of the Day:
Anoint my head as one of Your priests, and draw me into the temple.  Do not let Your presence leave me, nor let me leave Your presence.  Purify me, and make me holy.  Set me apart so that I will be worthy of Your Spirit, who lives within me.  Amen.
