Deuteronomy 29: Not By My Own Heart

"When someone hears the words of this oath, he may bless himself in his mind, thinking, 'I will have peace even though I follow my own stubborn heart.'  ... The Lord will not be willing to forgive him.  Instead, his anger and jealousy will burn against that person and every curse written in this scroll will descend upon him.  The Lord will blot out his name under heaven..."
Deuteronomy 29:19a,20

Question of the Day:
Aren't we all guilty of this sentiment on multiple occasions?  I know I am...  How do we ask forgiveness for something God has specifically said He will not forgive?

Prayer of the Day:
I repent!  I know that my own flesh-driven heart is vile to You, and I cast it aside for Yours!  Take me back into Your arms, forgive me, and prevent me from ever going back to my evil ways.  Amen!
