"Moses was 120 years old when he died; his eyes were not weak, and his vitality had not left him."
Deuteronomy 34:7
The chapter goes on to state that no other prophet like Moses has ever arisen. Moses spoke to God, face-to-face. Moses lived one hundred twenty years without losing vitality. Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt, through the wilderness, and all the way to the Promised Land. However, he could have done none of this without seeing God face-to-face.
The greatest ruler Israel ever knew was only able to lead at all because God moved him. When he perished, he appointed another Godly man to take his place because he knew that God was the strength of Israel. Without God, and without a leader who would uphold God's Word, the nation would fail completely.
Question of the Day:
When we choose our nation's leaders, every candidate claims to be a man of faith and values. How do we tell which ones are lying, which ones think they're honest but just don't know their own sin, and which ones are truly men of character? Only by strict scrutiny regarding the fruits they've produced.
Prayer of the Day:
Rise up for the U.S. a strong presidential candidate who truly follows Your guidance. Lead each state to elect legislators who fit that same build. Guide Your people in this great nation to bring Your blessings upon us by electing leaders who fear the Lord and shun evil. Amen.
