Numbers 9: What About Us?

"and said to him, 'We are unclean because of a human corpse.  Why should we be excluded from presenting the Lord's offering at its appointed time with the other Israelites?'"
Numbers 9:7

All these men wanted was to serve their Lord, but statutes regarding cleanliness prevented them from joining in the Passover tradition.  Thankfully, Moses spoke to the Lord and got permission for these men to celebrate a month later.

Question of the Day:
Have you ever been prevented from serving your Lord because of some nonsense governmental intervention?  Did you stand up for your beliefs and request Constitutional permission to practice your faith as you see fit?

Prayer of the Day:
Help me to stand up for my beliefs and my Constitutional right to serve You in my own way.  Help me to stand up for others who struggle with governmental control over their religious views and habits.  Do not let Your people turn our eyes away from you because of the oppression we might face otherwise.  Help us to stand strong in our faith and show the world how we love You.  Amen.
