"For He tells Moses: I will show mercy to whom I show mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion."
Romans 9:15
So... For the last week, I've been ignoring the Call to read God's word and devote some time to conversing with Him daily... My illness, which should have turned me closer towards God, led me to make excuses for abandoning my post - excuses like, "I'm too tired," or "This headache is just making me too cranky, so I won't have anything positive to say," or "It's just been too long of a week and I need to rest and relax instead."
But God shows mercy to those who He chooses to show mercy on. He has chosen to die for my sins - I believe that even includes the sin of abandoning His Calling for the last week. I finally had the compulsion to visit a doctor - such a strong compulsion that, even when they told me I'd have to sit in the waiting room for 3 hours before seeing him, I couldn't leave and come back the next morning.
Now, thanks to the advice of a helpful doctor and the medicines he recommended, I am getting back on track with this bible blog as well as all the other things God has Called me to do.

I apologize for the delay, and I hope that my readers will forgive me for abandoning you as I abandoned Him.
Question of the Day:
In what way(s) are you abandoning God's Calling for your life? What will it take for you to give up your own personal agenda and seek the Lord's plan for you?
Prayer of the Day:
Thank You, Lord, for bringing me back into Your presence. Amen!
